The ’98 Hotel – Whitehorse, Yukon
The ’98 Hotel is an historic Bar and Hotel in the heart of beautiful downtown Whitehorse, Yukon. The hotel has five, cozy hostel style themed rooms that share two bathrooms and a kitchenette.
The Bar and Hotel were completely refurbished in 2019. The result is a brilliant look that recollects the look and feel of an old-time hotel. Visiting The ’98 Hotel feels like stepping back into the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898 (which is what the Hotel’s name refers to).

Unique beautifully restored gold rush hostel style rooms with shared bathrooms and a kitchenette. Each one special in its own way. A mix of antique furnishings, original Yukon art and local photography.
The ’98 Hotel has five guest rooms: the Angler, the Hunter, the Dancer, the Prospector and the Barmaid.

The ’98 Hotel is pet friendly and wheelchair accessible. All rooms are on the ground floor. There are no stairs or elevators to deal with. There is free parking in front of the building and free wifi available to all guests. There are five hostel style rooms that have shared bathrooms and a kitchenette.
The ’98 Hotel is in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon, within walking distance to restaurants, clubs, shopping, museums and galleries, theatres, food stores and more. The Hotel is a block away from the Yukon River, which has a great walking trail stretching many kilometres.
The Hotel Lounge offers live entertainment Wednesday to Saturday night.
