Enjoy Live Entertainment at The ’98 Hotel Lounge
About the Lounge
The ’98 opened in 1943 as ‘The ’98 Ballroom’, complete with a full orchestra. In 1951, a cocktail lounge was added. In 1952, it became The ’98 Hotel, and advertised its new and modern rooms.
The current Lounge was refurbished in 2019. It boasts a unique, locally made bar that was designed by Eva Stehelin; a copper medallion style ceiling; an antique rifle collection, and other antiques and northern memorabilia on the walls and around the room.
The Lounge is accessible on the first level, but has one step up to the fireplace nook, and one step down to the washroom.
